Partnering with like minded community organizations is what it’s all about! Pause is so grateful to our friends at the Dan Cox Legacy Fund and we want to tell you all about the great work they are doing!

The Dan Cox Legacy Fund was created to financially support the organizations that were near and dear to Dan’s heart.  Dan was raised in a big family and tight knit community and he learned the importance of giving back. Dan was an integral part of the Catholic Youth Community, where it was evident that second to be a family man, Dan was called to coach—and coach he did! Starting as a 24-year-old with his father, Bill Cox, for the St. Ann Bruins football team. This began a 35-year coaching career as he transitioned over to Badin High School in the late 90’s.

The Dan Cox Legacy Fund was started to celebrate Dan’s life as well as provide financial support to organizations and charities that meant something to him. Today, Dan’s legacy lives on through those who participate and benefit.

Larry (Dan’s brother) and his wife Jackie now lead the foundation. Jackie shared, “Dan's legacy can be found in helping children become better versions of themselves whether through education and/or sports. That mission will carry on through the Dan Cox Legacy Fund. To our organization, a legacy is very simply paying it forward and much like a pebble hitting water, we want it to ripple and spread for generations to come. Serving children and families in our community is very important. We know the struggles and the needs of our community as we were raised here and know the value of supporting our community and how it is an investment.”

The fund helps to support local missions that prioritize faith, athletics, education and community. Pause was a proud recipient of the fund in June! Jackie continues, “We chose to help Pause because we know of the great work they do in helping serve a special need in our community. We know the struggles in helping raise funds for nonprofits. We truly believe our money went to a fantastic cause that will help some very great people!”

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and support! We are proud to continue Dan’s legacy of enriching our community. Thank you for supporting local non-profit organizations and living out the message that we are better together!

This is CAN DO.  This is COMMUNITY.  This is YOUR SUPPORT.
