The annual Back to School Bash is Saturday, August 9th from 9:30am - 12pm at Makino Park in Mason, OH! Kids get to have fun in the park, enjoy popsicles, and end of summer fun!

For families that need assistance with school supplies, Pause offers the backpack program. Upon completing this form, Pause will coordinate with donors to secure needed supplies for the upcoming school year. The backpack program is OPTIONAL and not required to attend the event. **Please note: Supplies are limited, please only opt in if this is a need for your family.**

If you are unable to pick up your supplies at the Back to School Bash, pick up school supplies ONLY on Sunday, August 10th, from 2-3pm at Pause (5962 Hamilton Mason Rd).

Your choice between Smurfs or How to Train Your Dragon. Doors will open at 5:30pm. The movies will start at 6pm. (The first 20 minutes will be commercials, and Smurfs run time is 1hr 30 min, Dragon run time is 1hr 56min.)

We'll cover the movie tickets for your family and you're welcome to purchase popcorn and snacks from the concession stand!

A smaller respite event to focus on more resilience building activities layered with fun! Why? Because we want Pause kids to know they are loved, worthy of extravagant inclusion and ultimately we want to build their self-esteem. Kids are placed in small groups or with 1:1 buddies depending on their needs.

Join us for Thrive Night on March 7th!

This night is designed to provide a fun, safe environment for children and give you a break to recharge your battery!  

Your child will be paired with volunteers whose main goal will be to spend quality time having fun and caring for them. Kids will enjoy dozens of FUN resilience based activities aimed at growing their self-esteem, peer connections and self-worth. It's pretty much the best thing ever if you are a kid...at least that's what they tell us!

While the kids are having a blast, the Pause team will be hosting an adult only evening of entertainment, community and education...but, not education in a 9th grade Algebra way.  Because BORING...sorry math fanatics! All kidding aside, we really just want to talk about things that REALLY matter in your 24 hour day!  

!!!WARNING!!!:  There will be laughing.  And fun.  And meaningful conversations with people who get it and are in the same place you are.  <GASP>

Families will have the opportunities to choose a breakout session in the following registration. Couples do not have to attend breakout sessions together so choose what fits for each of you individually!

Sibling Workshop aka Sib Shop will be available for kiddos 5 and up! Siblings can have their own nuanced experiences being part of a special needs family. Sib Shop is a safe space to process the joys and hard things with peers that get it.  What is new about the Pause Sib Shop?  We've added more fun and opportunities to build resilience and connections with peers!  In fact, kids who have attended in Fall 2025, have made it their personal mission to grow the number of siblings attending because it's been so impactful!
