Easter Traditions, Crafted by You!
When donors give to a nonprofit’s general fund, they often don’t get to see what their donation specifically provided - even if they understand why it matters or why it’s important. Pause wants to change that! We want to share the impact your time, talent and resources make on the families we serve.
There are several family fun events throughout the year that absolutely require donor support - especially since Pause is now supporting 750 kids! Some examples of this are our annual Back to School Bash, the Holiday Shoppe, and the Easter Eggstravaganza coming up in just 8 short weeks! We love this event because it provides a safe place for kids with disabilities (and their whole family!) to engage in Easter egg hunts and gives caregivers an opportunity to cross one thing off the list by taking home a customized Easter basket ready to go for Easter morning.
In addition to those tangible needs, donors and volunteers for these events help families create and build traditions around the holidays. They (aka YOU!) help give kids something to look forward to that is crafted just for them. Sure, it’s inclusive and fun (#duh), but it is also another opportunity for them to build their tribe, their self-esteem and their photo albums. Ready to get involved? Just last week, we launched the registration and 112 families making up 444 kids and caregivers registered within just 3 hours! Now, we need your help to create a magical experience for these families!
How can I get involved?
1. Share your TIME with us! Volunteer at the Easter Eggstravaganza on April 1st from 9:15am-3:30pm. Opportunities include:
Egg Hunt Buddy - Be a 1:1 buddy with a kiddo to help find eggs in our Balloon hunt, Glow in the Dark hunt or our Puzzle Egg hunt!
Egg Runner - Replace eggs at each station.
Craft Station Leader - Lead a craft.
Activity Station Leader - Lead a game or activity.
Runner/Station Helper - Support to other volunteers.
Event Set-Up - Help the Pause team set up the event before it starts!
Event Prep - Help us prepare the activities, crafts and stuff eggs!
2. Share your TALENT with us!
Donate your artistic or decorating skills! Are you super creative and want to help us create the magical experience in our space? Reach out to us!
Bring the Easter Bunny to life! Were you a mascot in your past life? We’ve got an Easter bunny suit just for you! Reach out to us for more details!
Love to curate baskets? Help us put together Easter baskets for Pause kids!
3. Share your RESOURCES with us! Looking for another way to get involved?
Donate supplies for the Easter Eggstravaganza like Easter tote bags, Easter slap bracelets, stickers, squishy toys, fidget spinners and more! Use our Amazon Wish List and ship directly to Pause!
Donate food for our concession stand! We will have over 500 mouths to feed! Consider donating individually packaged cookies, chips, popcorn, healthy snacks, soda, water, or juice.
