Pause Comes to Warren County

Pause dreams big. We dream of a world where families can take judgment free vacations in beautiful and sensory friendly resorts. Where we can equip preschool aged kiddos with the proper resources and support they need before entering Kindergarten. Where kids are invited to summer camp with unlimited support in place. A place where kiddos are met with love, compassion and acceptance in all school settings. We dream of a world where special needs families are included - in the purest of ways.

When we first started Pause, we may have thought having 8,200 sq ft of physical space was impossible. Or having a team of 14 staff members who served 1,152 people was an outlandish dream. Now we know it’s not only Pauseable, but we must continue to expand this program to serve families in our communities. It’s our responsibility to serve, support and love as many caregivers and kiddos as possible. We might not be able to take on the world yet, but how about one more county? Spoiler alert - Pause Warren Co. campus coming January 2023!

Over the past couple of months we have expanded our team to make this a reality thanks to funding from the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund. We are so excited to introduce you to Rachael Heinley, our Warren County Coordinator! We are excited for you to get to know her better!

Rachael just got married to her husband, Clay and moved to Cincinnati this summer! She loves to exercise either at the gym or outdoors hiking. Rachael loves to cook, but confesses that she isn’t very good. Ha! She loves to travel and explore new cities as much as possible. Fun fact about Rachael - she grew up in Germany and moved to the United States when she was 15! #SoCool

We asked Rachael about her role, here's what she said!

What are you most excited about in your role with Pause?
I can't wait to expand Pause into Warren County and be able to help even more families!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? How did that play out in what you are doing now?
When I was a kid I wanted to be an actress, really anything in the entertainment business! I definitely didn't grow up and pursue that! But, I will say working with kids I get to play pretend a lot and I have to be creative so maybe it does correlate!

When you think about who you were intricately designed to be, how will you be a benefit to the families and volunteers we serve?
I really think deep down I was meant to be around people and serve them. I absolutely love meeting new people and getting to know them. My heart has always loved helping others. It makes me excited and feel purpose to help others which I think is exactly what our families and volunteers deserve and need!

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
What gets me out of bed is knowing I have a good God who always provides for me, whether it's a good season in life or not. He always gives me an opportunity and I need to take advantage of it. Coffee also really motivates me to physically get out of bed! #ThePauseStaffLovesCoffee

What do you want our Pause families to know about you?
I want our families to know that I really will do anything to help them. Nothing is too big or small and there are no limits.

Rachael - we are SO excited to have you on board to trailblaze the Warren Co. project!

Warren Co. events will serve families living in Warren County, Ohio. More information coming this Fall!

This is CAN DO.  This is COMMUNITY.  This is YOUR SUPPORT.
