Pause for Parents, Play for Kids is a non-profit organization giving rest, support, connection and fun to families who have children with disabilities.

Our caregivers come to us typically experiencing two common themes - feeling isolated and having a desire for their children to make a friend. At Pause events, we tackle both. While caregivers are given time to grow their natural support circle and connect with others, kids are engaged in safe and fun activities to build their self-esteem, self-worth and confidence. The end result is cultivating hope for a brighter future.

The 2025-26 Pause programming year kicks off on July 1. While programming is free to our families, we rely on funding from generous people just like you to sustain our mission.

Here is how your donation impacts the families we serve:

  • $35 provides 3 hours of care for 1 child

  • $100 provides a family of 4 with the opportunity for a day of family fun

  • $500 provides kids and caregivers with care coordination, access to resources and support groups for a year

  • $850 provides a family with an annual package of rest, support, connection and fun

Whether it’s personal to you or you just want to be a hope dealer, we invite you to the party - where the dress code is “Pause casual” - come as you are.
