A Special Pause Fundraiser

At Pause, we highly value family and creating meaningful relationships. Once you are a part of the Pause community, you’re family.  Several years ago, our team of interns coined the hashtag #OnceAPauserAlwaysAPauser to describe our tribe of families, volunteers and community partners. 

Our OG Pause intern, Sam Story, has lived this out since 2014. Sam was an integral part of the Pause program from its inception. She quickly formed a bond with families and volunteers and became such an asset to our team, she was invited to join the staff part-time in 2015.  Once she graduated from Miami University, she took on a full-time job helping families in a different agency, but she never left the Pause family.  Over the years, she has stayed connected as a volunteer, a respite provider for families and as a community member making annual donations to the program.  

This year, Sam is offering her annual fundraiser virtually AND we get to share it with our entire CAN DO network! As always, Sam is generously donating 100% of her commission to Pause. Pause Director, Lisa McCoon had this to say…”Sam is exactly who we aspire our Pause tribe to be - compassionate, selfless and dedicated to the heart of who Pause is. She never does this for her own gain, she does it because those kiddos she spent time with in 2015 deeply matter to her.  The little girls who sat next to her for storytime in 2018 deeply matter to her.  And the kids engaged in Pause today deeply matter to her.”
