Pause Annual Admission

EVERY family must renew their admission if they wish to continue to use Pause and EVERY family interested in respite for 2025-2026 must re-enroll during the launch period.

Being part of Pause or the respite program last year does not automatically qualify you and it is highly likely there will be a waiting list for respite.

3 Pause terms you need to know:

  1. Admission:

    The process that admits your family into the Pause program for ONE programming year (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026). Admissions are renewable annually. Admission to Pause gives you access to Family Fun, Pause University, Sib Shop, Pause & Play, Open Gym, caregiver community groups and more!

  2. Enrollment:

    Once admitted to Pause, your family will also have the opportunity to enroll in the Respite program. Enrollment in the Respite program gives your family access to register for respite events like Parent’s Night/Day Out and/or Thrive events.

  3. Registration:

    Registration: Event registration will be on the first Saturday of the month, as events become available throughout the year. Families will receive information about event launches via email, text and social media.

Mark these IMPORTANT DATES on your calendar!

  • MAY 17:

    • Annual Admission Renewal application will be sent by Pause to all CURRENT/ACTIVE families via email on May 17, 2025 at 12:00p EST.

    • IMPORTANT! This form includes a FAMILY form and 1 CHILD FORM PER CHILD. All forms must be submitted for your application to be complete!

    • If you do not receive a confirmation, we have not received your submission! Please make sure to hit the submit button at the end of your form. Need help? Contact us at questions@pauseforparents.org

  • MAY 31:

    • The renewal form will CLOSE at 11:59pm on May 31st.

    • PLEASE NOTE: Any families who have not completed the application by closing will become inactive in our system and must re-apply for admission. (Waiting list will apply.)

  • JUNE 11:

    • Embedded in your renewal admission application will be the opportunity to select your interest to enroll in the Respite program. This program is optional. If you select that you are interested, on June 11th, you will receive information on how to enroll in this program.

    • The Respite program includes: Access to register for Parent’s Night/Day Out and Thrive events. You must be enrolled in the Respite program to access these event registrations for the year.

  • JUNE 14:

    • Respite program enrollment goes live at 9:00am EST. Use the link included in your June 11th email to complete enrollment.

    • THE RESPITE PROGRAM IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. We do expect to have a waiting list for this program.

  • JULY 15:

    • Families will be notified whether they have been confirmed for the Respite program or if they have been placed on the waiting list. Communication will be sent at 12:00p EST.

FAQ?

  1. What happens if I don’t receive my admission renewal form via email?

    It is likely that we either have an old email for you OR you have unsubscribed to our communication. (Unsubscribing to one type of communication will unsubscribe you from all.) If you do not receive your email on May 17th by 12:30pm, please email us at questions@pauseforparents.org and we will correct your information. Subsequent enrollment and event registrations are first come, first served so please do not delay in contacting us to get this resolved.

  2. What if I enroll in the Respite program, but don’t register for any respite events?

    Your family will be removed from the Respite program after 6 months of inactivity (no attempted registrations) to allow other families a chance to access respite. You may join the Respite program waiting list to re-enroll as your situation changes.

  3. Will exceptions be made for our family if we miss the admission renewal deadline?

    Rest assured, we LOVE your family and want nothing more than to continue serving you! Due to the amount of families enrolled in Pause who are not utilizing services, it is imperative you complete the renewal admission process so we have accurate information. Once the admission window closes, we will be opening up available space to those on our waiting list and your spot will be filled. We will miss you terribly so PLEASE don’t miss the deadline!

  4. Will we have to do an admissions renewal annually?

    Yes, your family will need to complete this process annually as it helps us know who needs our services for the upcoming programming year. This allows you to take a break as needed and gives our waiting list families a chance to join Pause as space becomes available.
