Annual Traditions: Easter Addition
Family bonding and connection, lasting memories, predictability and stability, promotion of family unity, and increased resilience and hopefulness - these are all things annual traditions create and why we love being able to provide these opportunities throughout the year for Pause families.
On paper, these events are planned thoughtfully with fun activity stations, visits from special guests, take home resources and a plethora of volunteer names on our rosters. Yet, in person the experience is something our staff has often described as “magical”.
Pause Event Coordinator, Amanda Nolasco, shares “It’s like going to Disney world watching parents beam with delight as their child enjoys activities specifically planned for them and their needs. The kids seem confident and proud to share the Pause space with their family. When parents hug volunteers for their patience and acceptance of their child, it’s priceless.”
We couldn’t be more excited for our next annual Family Fun event in March - the Easter Eggstravaganza! With over 34 activities, games and crafts, three different types of egg hunts and the Easter Bunny, there is a lot of “magic” to bring to life to create the experience families will have.
Last year, families shared with us:
“This event is a core memory for our kids. I was blown away how much they remember from previous years as we talked about coming to the event today. We are not able to access large crowds and public egg hunts, so this is the one and only Easter holiday event we participate in. It means so much to our family. We are so grateful for fun, thoughtful, and safe opportunities to have fun together and celebrate the holiday.”
“I can not thank all the volunteers enough. My health has declined and I have not been able to do much with my kids. I thought Easter was going to be hard because I don’t have the energy right now to make Easter baskets and do craft with the kids. It was amazing to come there and get everything. My kids could not stop thanking us for bringing them there. Thank you for this blessing you gave to my family. We all enjoyed it so much. It was well needed time together as a family.”

Currently, we have 138 families (1,140 kids and caregivers!) registered for the Easter Eggstravaganza! We need YOU to make this event successful! This is the PERFECT event to volunteer with your family, friends, organization, business or community group! The saying “you had to be there” couldn’t be more true and we can’t wait for you to experience what we do!
How can I get involved?
1. Share your TIME with us! Volunteer at the Easter Eggstravaganza on March 15th OR 16th. Opportunities include:
Egg Hunt Buddy - Be a 1:1 buddy with a kiddo to help find eggs in our egg hunts.
Egg Runner - Replace eggs at each station.
Craft Station Leader - Lead a craft.
Activity Station Leader - Lead a game or activity.
Runner/Station Helper - Support to other volunteers.
Event Set-Up - Help the Pause team set up the event before it starts!
Event Prep - Help us prepare the activities, crafts and help stuff eggs!
2. Share your TALENT with us!
Donate your artistic or decorating skills! Are you super creative and want to help us create the magical experience in our space? Reach out to us!

Donate supplies for the Easter Eggstravaganza like glow in the dark eggs, artificial daisies or wildflowers, floor dots and more! Use our Amazon Wish List and ship directly to Pause!
Donate food for our snack stand! We will have over 1,000 mouths to feed! Consider donating individually packaged goldfish, pretzels, popcorn, healthy snacks, soda, water, or juice.
