Let’s Have FUN!
Family Fun. What does it really mean? Why is it important and one of the Pause core values? Family fun creates happy memories, builds self-esteem and strengthens family bonds. Spending so much time in isolation can cause families to feel alone and disconnected from their communities. That’s why we have created events to bring families together in a safe, exciting way!
Pause had to put a pause on in-person family fun events this past year due to Covid related restrictions and regulations (cue tears and toddler-like stomping). While engaging in virtual family fun events put a band-aid on our need for fun, it couldn't beat being in person and building community with not only our own families, but other families too. We were SO excited to start planning in-person events again so we could see our families live and in person. Zoom, we appreciate you AND we are a little over you. No offense, promise.
Last Friday evening, 147 kiddos and caregivers met up at Niederman Farm to have some fun! They laughed, they ate and they played! Kids connected and had fun with so many Niederman Farm favorites like the play houses, tube swings, ball zones, swing sets, peddle bikes, hula cows, the barnyard butt buster, and jumping pillow! Pause also created a scavenger hunt for families to do together and passed out 142 sensory friendly summer fun take-home packs for kiddos to continue the fun at home!
This event would not have been possible without our CAN DO community partners. A HUGE thank you to Elizabeth and BethAnn Niederman for all your support in making this event so successful! The Niederman family has ALWAYS been so gracious to Pause and a strong (and favorite) community partner!

CAN DO, you helped families fill up their buckets of fun. You helped Pause families feel more connected and included in their community. Judging from the pictures and thank you emails we’ve received, you also created memories that will last a lifetime.
