Why Volunteer?

Adults, college students, high school kids, families and groups volunteer with Pause for many different reasons… to feel like they are making a difference in their community, to give back, to fulfill school requirements, to fuel a passion… the list goes on.

Pause volunteers may all come to the table from different places, but after volunteering with Pause - they share some common benefits. When you volunteer with Pause you...

  • Gain confidence. You get a chance to try something new and build a real sense of achievement. This is something we hear often from our volunteers!

  • Become a part of a community. You get to feel a part of something outside your friends and family! #WelcomeToThePauseFam The Pause Squad is like no other - once you are part of the family you will understand!

  • Take on a challenge. Challenge yourself to try something different, achieve personal goals, practice using your skills and discover hidden talents.

  • Have fun! This is a BIGGIE. You’ll have a great time volunteering with Pause, regardless of why you do it.

  • Feel good about making a difference. Did you know when we give back we actually receive twice the amount of dopamine? It’s the feel good chemical our bodies produce when we eat chocolate, exercise, listen to music, meditate or spend time in the sun.

Can you help with our CAN DO 7 in 7 CHALLENGE? Over the past several months, we’ve hit the ground running to engage our volunteer base now that events are back! We need YOUR help to find more volunteers! We are challenging you to share the Pause volunteer opportunity 7 times in 7 days!

Do you know...

  • A community group that volunteers in the local area?

  • Any teachers, aids, or professionals looking for volunteer opportunities?
